The county's Department of Public Works (DPW) is charged with designing and constructing an extensive infrastructure system for Westchester County, including oversight of capital projects as well as non-recurring repair and replacement projects. In doing business with others, DPW advertises all construction contracts that exceed $20,000 on the Empire State Purchasing Group. DPW directly reaches out to businesses for construction-related RFQs less than $20,000 and uses the Minority and Women-Owned Business database to find them.
Special note to architects, landscape architects, engineers, and (land) surveyors: by law, DPW must hire consultants for these related services from an established list. To be on this list, you must submit the federal SF330: Architect-Engineer Qualifications form to DPW.
