Diverse Abilities Job and Resource Fair Returns to White Plains April 15th
Westchester County, New York (March 16, 2026) – A win-win for talented job seekers of varying abilities and employers alike, Westchester County is pleased to announce that the Diverse Abilities Job and Resource Fair will return to Westchester County Center in White Plains on April 15th. Since its inception, more than 1,500 job seekers and employers have participated in this dynamic event.
Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said: “The Diverse Abilities Job and Resource Fair is an extension of Westchester County’s commitment to an inclusive and diverse workforce. The talent and enthusiasm that fill this event are unmatched, and we consistently hear from participating employers how impressed they are by the candidates who attend. I encourage both companies that are looking to grow their local workforce and individuals of all abilities to join us on April 15th.”
Westchester County Director of Policy and Programs, Small Business and Chambers of Commerce Shari Rosen Ascher said: “The Diverse Abilities Job and Resource Fair continues to attract a wide-range of businesses and organizations that are committed to inclusive hiring practices and a pool of eager job seekers. We are committed to helping our local employers connect with talented candidates and are proud to be bringing this event back for the eighth time.”
Westchester County Office for People with Disabilities Director Carin Horowitz said: “The Diverse Abilities Job and Resource Fair provides job seekers with a unique opportunity to meet representatives from a wide range of companies, in-person, and explore numerous work opportunities. We have many companies that have hired candidates directly from this event and are pleased to offer an opportunity for these two groups to network and form meaningful connections.”
Employers and resource providers who have already committed to joining April’s Diverse Abilities Job Fair, include: Child Care Council of Westchester, Human Development Services of Westchester, Liberty Lines Transit, MTA, New York Power Authority (NYPA), Northwell Health, New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, Sonesta White Plains Downtown, SUNY Purchase, The Arc Westchester, Westchester County Parks, Westchester Library System, and many more.
