It promotes entrepreneurship at centers throughout the state providing classroom training, counseling, technical assistance and mentoring. | SBDC provides expert management and technical assistance to start-ups and existing small businesses. SBDC is sponsored by the Small Business Administration and operates 22 campus-based regional centers and 23 outreach offices across state wide. These centers can apply the resources of university, private sector and government to solve problems and foster entrepreneurship. | |

The White Plains chapter office does not charge for individual counseling. Free weekly workshops are held throughout the year addressing 10 specific business topics.
