The Rochester Conference on Coherence and Quantum Science (CQS) (Formerl y Rochester Conference on Coherence and Quantum Optics (CQO)) has been held every six years since the inception in 1960, essentially coincident with t he first observation of lasing. Topics of interest include all aspects of e xperimental and theoretical coherence, quantum optics, quantum information and quantum measurement.
Past conferences have brought together leadi ng researchers from around the world, including pioneers in the field such as R. Hanbury Brown, and S. Pancharatnam, Nobel laureates Willis Lamb, Arth ur Schawlow, Nicholas Bloembergen, Roy Glauber, Claude Cohen-Tannoudji, Wil liam Phillips, Wolfgang Ketterle, Serge Haroche, Alain Aspect, John Clauser , and Anton Zeilinger.
