DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Envisioning the Future: Education and the Workforce in the Age o
 f AI</strong></p><p>Educators, employers, workers, and students are invited
  to join&nbsp;Long Island University's Hudson Graduate Centers&nbsp;for a f
 ree one-day symposium where business, schools, government, and cultural org
 anizations will delve into the essential skills, knowledge, and attitudes s
 tudents require to thrive in todays and tomorrows workforce.</p><p>Attendan
 ce, breakfast, and lunch are free, but registration is required.</p><p>The 
 event will bring together the workforce spectrum  government, business, edu
 cation, and the nonprofit sector  to learn about each others needs and reso
 urces, the skills employers will require as they adopt AI, and what the sch
 ools need to do now to prepare students to succeed in a dynamically evolvin
 g workforce.</p><p>New York State Regent Dr. Frances Wills&nbsp;will lead a
  conversation with&nbsp;New York State Commissioner of Education Betty Rosa
 ,&nbsp;New York State Commissioner of Labor Roberta Reardon.</p><p>Jerry Cr
 isci, President of Chestnut Hill Media and former Director of the Center fo
 r Innovation and Director of Instructional Technology and Innovation for th
 e Scarsdale Public Schools will lead a presentation and discussion on how A
 I will revolutionize instructional design and its corresponding impact on t
 he workforce.</p><p>The conference will offer panel discussions led by expe
 rts in the following areas:</p><ul><li>Career-Connected Learning</li><li>Ci
 vic Education</li><li>Cultural Competence in Classrooms and Hiring in the A
 ge of AI</li><li>The Essential Role of the Arts</li><li>Critical and Creati
 ve Thinking in School and at Work</li></ul><p>A bag lunch is included with 
 registration. The lunch hour will also provide an opportunity to engage wit
 h&nbsp;Senator Shelly Mayer&nbsp;of New Yorks 37th District, allowing parti
 cipants to discuss significant legislative and policy issues.</p><p>The eve
