Getting Around

Scarsdale is home to its own MetroNorth station making Manhattan just 32 minutes away. Centrally located within Westchester, Scarsdale is off of the Bronx River and Hutchinson River Parkways, making most of the area a quick drive away.

With 24 parks, a nature center, and over 20 public tennis courts, there is plenty of ways to keep busy in Scarsdale. Its the birthplace of paddle tennis and you'll still see that inventive spirit in their creative programming done at their community center.

History

Settled in late 1600's by Caleb Heathcote, Scarsdale is one of Westchester's oldest towns. It was one of the nine original royal manors of New York and maintains its English charm to this day. It's been the home of novelists, scientists, politicians, and has seen great change in its over 300 years of existence.
